Job summary

Wyetech, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems for federal government customers, including analytics, large data sets, and real-time processing.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required (e.g., Active TS/SCI with poly). The role emphasizes collaboration, design input, and adherence to development standards.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required
• Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

• Strong Java experience as well as experience with MapReduce, Cloud experience, GhostMachine and QTA

Pay Range: $34.06 - $82.53 per hour*. Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location. *Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
