Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced .NET developer with 610 years of experience to join our Retail Integrations team. You will maintain and extend an Azure Functions-based integration platform that bridges our Product Information Management (PIM) system with Dynamics 365 Retail. The work is backend-heavy, data pipeline focused, and requires high attention to code quality and correctness.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build and maintain Azure Functions that process, transform, and route product and pricing data into Dynamics 365 Retail.
• Extend config-driven filter and transformation pipelines without introducing regressions across 20+ markets.
• Write and maintain unit tests that cover edge cases, not just happy paths.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents involving Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, and Logic App import triggers.
• Participate in code review with high standards clean, minimal, reviewable code is expected.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 610 years of solid, hands-on experience in C# / .NET and Azure-based backend development.

C# / .NET

• Strong async/await and cancellation token usage.
• Dependency injection singleton vs scoped lifetime decisions and their consequences.
• Idiomatic use of Dictionary, HashSet, and LINQ.
• Named classes for complex return types; dictionary/function maps over switch statements.
• Comfortable with xUnit and writing parameterised tests with [InlineData].

Azure Functions

• Isolated worker model (v4) not in-process.
• HTTP and blob triggers.
• Startup registration, environment variable management, and DI wiring in Program.cs.

Azure Storage

• Blob Storage read/write, container conventions, config-file hosting pattern.
• Table Storage upsert and delete patterns.

Cosmos DB for MongoDB API

• BSON document manipulation.
• Bulk insert/delete with retry and exponential backoff.
• Understanding that Cosmos DB for MongoDB is not native MongoDB error surfacing differs and causes silent bugs if handled incorrectly.

Azure DevOps

• Git branching, PR workflow, and code review.
• Reading and making minor edits to azure-pipelines.yml.

Logic Apps

• Reading and interpreting existing Logic App workflow definitions.
• Diagnosing run history to distinguish a code bug from a trigger failure.
• Cloning and registering Logic Apps for new environments via Azure CLI.

PREFERABLE

• Experience with D365 Retail or any ERP integration.
• Familiarity with DMF import formats and Azure Table Storage at scale.
• PIM system experience (Akeneo, Stibo, or similar).
• KQL for Application Insights and Log Analytics queries.
