Job summary

Terranova Talent Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build and maintain enterprise-grade software. You will own features end-to-end and work with a collaborative team to improve quality and performance as we scale.

You’ll design, develop, test, and deploy backend and API services, write clean code, review peers, and contribute ideas to improve architecture. Remote-friendly environment with strong problem-solving and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
• Understanding of APIs, web services and best practices.
• Version control experience with Git.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

One of our Enterprise Tech Clients is looking for a Software Engineer to help design, build and maintain our products. You’ll work on a collaborative team, take ownership of features from start to finish, and help improve the quality and performance of our software as we scale.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop and maintain software applications and features
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code
• Build and integrate APIs and backend services
• Troubleshoot, debug and fix issues in existing systems
• Write tests and take part in code reviews to keep quality high
• Work with product managers, designers and other engineers to plan and deliver projects
• Contribute ideas to improve our tools, processes and architecture

What we’re looking for

• Multiple years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
• Understanding of APIs, web services and software development best practices
• Familiarity with version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Clear communication and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular or Vue)
