Job summary

Job description

The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Software Engineer to work remotely, but based out of our Tewksbury, MA office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for a robust C-sUAS software suite
• Design software to support system integration efforts
• Ensure any new code meets contractual cyber standards
• Collaborate with government customers to better understand program needs.
• Communicating issues with leadership
• Identify areas of improvement that can benefit the software process

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years prior relevant experience.
• Must possess and maintain active DoD Secret clearance or above to be considered for role. (US Citizenship required)
• Experience working with multiple programming languages such as (C#, C++, Python, Java)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and a strong problem-solving mindset
• Familiarity with the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence
• Familiarity with Gitlab
• Familiarity with Docker and Linux based containerization

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with C-sUAS sensors and effectors
• Experience working on projects with a multitude of repositories
• Experience implementing agile methodologies
• Experience with cyber tools such as Fortify, Sonarqubue, Trivy, Dependency Tracker
• Experience with Go or JavaScript
• Experience using NATS messaging framework
