Role Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at Emergent, you’ll help us build the core systems that power our autonomous coding agents.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build scalable, low-latency infrastructure for AI model training and inference
- Collaborate with researchers and product engineers to turn cutting-edge research into real-world developer tools
- Architect distributed systems that handle large-scale code generation, evaluation, and deployment pipelines
- Drive zero-to-one engineering efforts with high autonomy and ownership
What You’ll Bring

- Deep engineering skills and ability to navigate complex systems
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud infra, and high-performance services
- Proficiency in at least one of our core stack languages (Go, Python, TypeScript/Next.js)
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and ship high-quality, production-grade code quickly
- [Bonus] Experience with compilers, developer tools, or ML systems
