Job summary

Muller Bressler Brown in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Software Engineer to join our design-focused team. You’ll build accessible, responsive websites and apps from design files, collaborate with designers and clients, and iterate quickly while keeping quality and performance in mind.

You’ll work with Git (Azure DevOps, GitHub), read requirements carefully, ask clarifying questions, and explain technical decisions to non‑developers. Remote on Mondays & Fridays, office Tue–Thu.

Qualifications

• Eye for design, front-end performance, and accessibility.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors such as Sass or PostCSS.
• Passion for UI development and learning new technologies.
• PHP and PHP CMSs such as WordPress.
• Headless CMSs and content modeling.
• Building or integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Mobile app development, such as React Native.
• Testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Build accessible, responsive websites and applications from design files (Adobe XD, Figma, etc.).
• Use Git for branching, pull requests, and code review (Azure DevOps and GitHub).
• Read requirements closely, spot gaps early, and ask good questions before the gaps become bugs.
• Explain technical decisions clearly to clients and teammates who aren’t developers.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and clients, and work well on your own.
• Manage multiple long-term projects along with often urgent smaller tasks.
• Estimate and plan work.

MBB’s technology team is big into building accessible, beautiful, mobile responsive websites and applications for our amazing clients. We’re currently looking for a Software Engineer to add to our team.

The work you’ll do:
