Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. is hiring a Java-focused backend developer in the United States (North Carolina) to build scalable web applications using Java 8/17, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL, and Kafka.

The role includes implementing AI features with Spring AI and LangChain4j, contributing to RAG pipelines, and owning the full development lifecycle within an Agile Scrum team. Experience with React.js, Maven, and related tech is preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Basic programming skills using object-oriented languages with knowledge of common APIs and data structures (Collections, Maps, Lists).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable web applications using Java 8/17, Spring Boot, SQL, NoSQL, Kafka,
• Write clean and efficient code, and ensure code maintainability and reusability.
• Conduct Testing to ensure application and reliability.
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in Agile Scrum team and own the full development lifecycle, including project planning, design, implementation, testing, and optimization.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications, APIs, and
• Ship to production: APIs, monitoring/observability, cost/performance optimization, CI/CD, and security best practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies for Java development.

AI Integration

• Implement RAG pipelines using Spring AI and LangChain4j with vector database integration.
• Stay up to date with the latest RAG technologies and best practices, including chunking strategies, embeddings, retrieval optimization, and reranking techniques.

Requirement:

• Decent understanding of the software development life cycle
• Basic programming skills using object-oriented programming (OOP) languages with in-depth knowledge of common APIs and data structures like Collections, Maps, lists,
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), basic SQL query

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science (CS)
• 0-1 year of practical experience in Java coding
• Experience using Spring, Maven, React.js, HTML, CSS
• Knowledge of other contemporary Java technologies (e.g., Weblogic, RabbitMQ,
• Basic understanding of AI/LLM concepts.
• Spring AI or LangChain4j experience.

Compensation:

$62,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
