You will work primarily with Java, Oracle/SQL, and Angular, building RESTful services, deploying via Docker and Kubernetes, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance critical internal business applications that power real-time operational and market-related processes. This role will focus primarily on backend development (approximately 75%) with some frontend responsibilities (25%), ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications that are essential to day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging technical problems, and is comfortable taking ownership of systems. This person should be willing to voice ideas, advocate for best practices, and work collaboratively to develop solutions that serve the broader organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications that support real-time operational processing and business-critical workflows.
• Develop and support backend services that enable reliable, high-performing application functionality.
• Build, optimize, and maintain Java-based applications and services.
• Create and enhance user-facing components utilizing Angular and modern web development practices.
• Develop and optimize Oracle and SQL database solutions, including data access layers, queries, and performance tuning.
• Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Participate in CI/CD processes utilizing GitHub-based development workflows and automated deployment pipelines.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement enhancements.
• Provide application support and stability while key internal team members focus on strategic initiatives and new platform development.
• Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java application development.
• Experience developing against Oracle and SQL databases.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with Angular or similar modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native or containerized environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and GitHub-based source control workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting real-time operational, transactional, or high-availability systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar generative AI platforms.
• Experience driving process improvements and advocating for engineering best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic business outcomes.
