OPENLANE is seeking a Software Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native APIs for a green-field project and replace legacy systems. You’ll apply your frontend and backend expertise, including TypeScript/JavaScript, React, GraphQL, and REST/JSON, across real-time marketplace platforms.

• 3+ years of experience building and supporting production software systems.

We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in building scalable, cloud-native APIs for a green field project. You will be involved in the design and development of a new system to replace our legacy system. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience in application development, front-end JavaScript frameworks, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in relevant areas.

• Automated Testing (Unit, Integration)
• Actively uses AI development tools (code copilots, AI debuggers, test generators)
• Curious about applying AI to real customer and business problems
• Able to critically evaluate AI outputs instead of blindly accepting them
• University degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Compensation Range of

Annual Salary: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 USD

(Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
