Job summary

Praxis Engineering, A GDIT company, is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer SME to design, implement, and verify high-quality software for mission-critical tasks. You will work across Linux-based C/C++ applications and UI layers using Flutter/Dart and QT, with a focus on AI-assisted development and RF/wireless system integration.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in CS and extensive software engineering experience; TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Twenty (20) years' of experience as a Software Engineer on programs and projects of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Responsibilities

• Process 802.11 signals from various methods, environments, and antennas.
• Develop UI to command and control 802.11 collection and emission systems; present data and analysis.
• Reverse engineer newly released OS kernels and update custom drivers for Wi‑Fi radios/modems.
• Implement development in an agile methodology, using GitLab for builds/merges.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

A Full Stack Software Engineer designs, authors, enhances, verifies, and releases high-quality operational software which satisfies mission and foundational requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required, and twenty (20) years' of experience as a Software Engineer, on programs and projects of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Demonstrated capability in two or more of the following software development areas:

• Linux Application development in C/C++
• User interfaces (especially Flutter/Dart, QT, etc.), UI Architectures,
• Matlab and signal toolboxes
• Linux kernel development adaptation
• Modem/radio driver development
• UI (Flutter/Dart, QT, UI Architecture), Linux application development in C++, familiar with AI Integration in Development

Demonstrated capability in two or more of the following technology/engineering enablers:

• 802.11 protocol familiarity
• System Integration of internally developed server and UI components,, COTS/GOTS applications
• Packet Processing (Software Defined Radio demod/decode)
• AI assisted/leveraged Development
• Verification of system design, troubleshooting/debugging, thorough test methodology
• Familiarity with Wi‑Fi/Wireless/RF and networking basics

Security clearance level: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

Specific duties include:

• Process specific 802.11 signals captured from various methods, environments, and antennas
• Develop user interfaces to command and control 802.11 collection and emission systems, and present data and analysis in intuitively and efficiently
• Reverse Engineer newly release operating system kernels and update custom drivers for integration of Wi‑fi radios/modems
• Implement development in a tailored agile methodology, utilizing GitLab for build/merges
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Clearly communicating in a team environment with fellow engineers, stakeholders, and customers
• Estimate, decompose, and implement iterative tasks, automated tests, and routine builds, in a team environment
