Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of object‑oriented programming in C#, C++, or Java.
  • Experience with .NET Framework and C# or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and ORM tools.
  • Experience with unit/functional testing for C# and React.
  • Experience using AI-powered development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance software applications translating business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze requirements and contribute to architecture and technical design.
  • Develop software solutions that prioritize reliability, security, simplicity, efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Assist with test planning, technical documentation, troubleshooting, and resolution of software issues.
  • Perform programming tasks to deliver design objectives.
  • Confirm program operation by conducting unit and system level tests.

This is an opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle, partnering with experienced engineers, technical leaders, internal stakeholders, and clients to develop reliable, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.


The ideal candidate is a hands-on software developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, collaborating with others, and staying current with emerging technologies—including the rapidly evolving use of AI in software development.


Duties and/or Responsibilities


  • Develop and enhance software applications while helping translate business and technical requirements into effective solutions.

  • Analyze requirements and contribute to application architecture and technical design.

  • Develop software solutions that prioritize reliability, security, simplicity, efficiency, and maintainability.

  • Assist with test planning, technical documentation, troubleshooting, and resolution of software issues.

  • Perform programming tasks to deliver design objectives.

  • Confirm program operation by conducting unit and system level tests.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science or a related science or technical field


Preferred Skills


  • Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming techniques and languages (C#, C++, Java)

  • Experience in Microsoft .NET Framework and the C# programming language or similar (Java, C++).

  • Database systems such as SQL and / or experience with ORM tools

  • Unit testing / functional testing for C# and / or React

  • Experience using AI-powered tools for development (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)

  • Experience integrating AI tools to streamline the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, code review, testing)

  • Experience with containers / container orchestration or microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Understanding of how to utilize LLMs in application features


Logistical Information


  • Location: Hybrid within Houston, Texas (office on the West Side)

  • Employment Type: Full-time

  • Compensation: estimated $110k-$1140k/yr, plus comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off).
