Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer for the Compliance CXAE team. You will build AI-first applications powering CX Compliance agents, owning full-stack delivery across Golang and React while integrating third-party tools.

You will work with product, design, security, and data teams to deliver scalable, high-traffic services on AWS/Kubernetes, mentoring others and improving workflow efficiency for millions of users.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with a backend language (Golang/ Python/ Java) and a frontend framework (React/ Angular/ Vue).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerized deployment (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to broad audiences.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Software Engineer - Compliance CXAE

As a Software Engineer on the EAA Compliance CXAE team within the Enterprise Engineering,, you'll build the AI-first applications and services that power how CX Compliance agents work every day. This team is responsible for the platforms, tools, and integrations that streamline compliance processes, helping agents resolve customer issues and KYC workflows faster, with greater accuracy, and at scale. You'll own full-stack feature delivery across Golang and React, ship third-party integrations, and directly improve the productivity and compliance experience for millions of Coinbase customers.

What you’ll do:

• Own end-to-end development of user-facing features across the compliance agent platform using Golang, React, and cloud technologies, from design through production deployment.

• Lead assessment, selection, and implementation of third-party tools and vendor integrations that extend platform capabilities and accelerate delivery.

• Partner with product, design, security, and data teams to deliver cross-functional solutions to complex compliance and CX problems.

• Build and maintain scalable, high-traffic services leveraging event-driven architectures, caching, load balancing, and observability tooling across AWS and Kubernetes.

• Mentor engineers on design patterns, coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment best practices to raise the overall quality bar for the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building web applications with at least one modern backend language (Golang, Python, Java, or similar) and a frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue, or similar).

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployment environments (Kubernetes, Docker, or similar).

• Experience working with distributed systems concepts such as caching, event-driven architectures, or API integrations.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences through documentation, design proposals, or code reviews.

• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
