Role: Software EngineerLocation: Fairfax, VA or Denver, COClearance: TS/SCISalary: $125,000 - $200,000 plus 50% Employer Funded PackageWe are searching for a Software Engineer to join a highly regarded technology organisation delivering mission-critical solutions across the US Intelligence and National Security community.This position will focus on developing and maintaining advanced software solutions supporting communications, signal processing and intelligence systems.The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience within Linux environments, with an interest in working on complex technical projects supporting national security operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, test and maintain software applications supporting mission-critical intelligence and communications systems.Develop and implement software solutions primarily using Python within Linux environments.Build and maintain secure web-based interfaces for monitoring and controlling signal processing systems.Support software integration, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.Manage software configurations, application deployments and system baselines.Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within defence, intelligence or similarly complex technical environments.Strong programming experience with Python.Hands-on experience developing and supporting software within Linux environments.Experience across software design, implementation, testing and debugging.Understanding of networking protocols, encryption and secure software development practices.Experience with web application development and associated technologies would be beneficial.BENEFICIALAdditional programming experience with Java, C or C++.Previous involvement in SIGINT, communications systems or digital signal processing projects.Experience with Django, Flask, JavaScript, XML or MySQL.Knowledge of signal processing algorithms, modulation/demodulation or X-Midas.EDUCATION & CLEARANCEBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is requiredActive TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.If you're a Software Engineer with strong Python and Linux experience and an active TS/SCI clearance, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
