Job summary

eNGINE builds Technical Teams and is hiring a Software Developer to support a major modernization initiative for a leading building materials retailer. You will join the IT Deployment Team and design, build, and support applications and internal tools used across the organization.

The role focuses on hands-on work with Python, Angular, databases, and Jenkins, partnering with Business Analysts and Deployment Specialists to deploy software, troubleshoot issues, and streamline deployment processes

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and Angular development.
• Experience with relational databases and interpreting application data.
• Familiar with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication across development, deployment, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during software deployments across business locations.
• Ensure software, infrastructure, and database installations are completed successfully.
• Troubleshoot application issues reported by users and deployment team members.
• Identify larger technical concerns and escalate to the appropriate development teams.
• Manage and support relational databases containing configuration, operational, and deployment-tracking information.
• Analyze and interpret data to help resolve deployment and application issues.
• Partner with Business Analysts to turn workflow needs into technical solutions.
• Build demos, training tools, and other resources for end users.
• Develop and maintain Python-based back-end services and APIs.
• Maintain Angular front-end applications used by employees and internal teams.
• Build and support Jenkins jobs for software deployments, log retrieval, analysis, and related processes.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Assist with testing, QA, and validation throughout deployment cycles.
• Contribute to future applications as the modernization program grows.

We are hiring a Software Developer to support a major technology modernization initiative for a leading building materials retailer. This individual will join the IT Deployment Team and help design, build, and support applications and internal tools used across the organization.

This is a hands‑on role working primarily with Python, Angular, relational databases, and Jenkins. The Developer will partner closely with Business Analysts and Deployment Specialists to support software launches, troubleshoot technical issues, and build solutions that improve deployment processes and ongoing business operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional development experience with Python and Angular
• Experience working with relational databases and interpreting application data
• Experience with Jenkins
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience supporting software deployments and troubleshooting application issues
• Exposure to enterprise application implementations or large‑scale technology rollouts is a plus
• Experience with warehouse, inventory, distribution, or retail technology is a plus
• Previous experience supporting a building materials or retail environment is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across development, business analysis, and deployment teams
