Job summary

Emerson's NI Test & Measurement business unit seeks an entry-level Software Engineer to contribute to embedded and driver software projects. You will collaborate with product architects, managers, and engineers in an agile environment to deliver features.

You'll design, implement, test, and troubleshoot software, participate in code reviews, and apply new technologies to improve infrastructure and processes while growing your embedded software expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or similar.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming (C++).
• Understanding of OS components and embedded or low-level hardware/software integration.
• Experience with Agile methodology and testing frameworks.
• Ability to diagnose issues, take initiative, and drive tasks independently.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

As a member of a product team, developers collaborate frequently with product architects, product managers, and other software engineers to implement designs in an agile/scrum software development environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or similar)
• Object oriented programming and proficiency in C++
• Understanding of good software design and computer architecture principles including:
  • Operating system components and design
  • Familiarity with embedded, kernel or low level hardware/software integration
  • Data structures
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Experience with testing frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to:
