Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a software engineer for a global team working with Google Cloud Platform and modern IDEs. You will write code with a stack that blends current technologies and legacy systems, applying QoS metrics and DevSecOps practices while learning from senior engineers.

Responsibilities include designing web services, APIs and microservices; collaborating across product teams; and translating requirements into concrete specifications in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years with progressive responsibilities in Software Engineering, Architecture and Agile Framework.
• 3+ Core Java, Spring Boot, frontend framework such as React.js / Angular
• 3+ Modern databases (Relational and non-relational)

• Serve as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops webservices, webpages, APIs, and microservices.
• Collaborate with other product teams on integrations, testing, and deployments.
• Translate business requirements into detailed specifications.
• Ensures software engineering excellence within the product team.
• Collaborates with other Product Teams to reduce complexity and improve interoperability.
• Innovate and operate with an iterative, agile and user-centric perspective.
• Clearly communicate with team members and stakeholders.

In this position....

As a software engineer on our global team, you'll work with Google Cloud Platform, modern IDEs, and GenAI tools to write code — using a tech stack that's a mix of current technologies and legacy systems currently being modernized. You'll also apply advanced QoS metrics and DevSecOps practices, with plenty of opportunities to grow by learning from senior engineers on the team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with progressive responsibilities in Software Engineering, Architecture and Agile Framework.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
