Actalent is seeking a Software Engineer in Arlington, TX to develop embedded software for aircraft systems and test environments. You will integrate and test software on aircraft and simulators, and prepare design documentation.

Requires 5+ years in embedded aerospace/defense software, C++ proficiency, and a Bachelor's degree. This is a fully onsite role with a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package; security clearance eligibility is a plus.

Job Title: Software Engineer

The role involves developing software for both new and existing systems specifically tailored for aircraft and aircraft test systems. You will be responsible for integrating and testing software on aircraft as well as in virtual high-fidelity simulation environments, supporting flight test activities. Additionally, you will create design documentation for both internal and external use, ensuring adherence to established software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, designing, testing, and deploying moderately complex engineered systems and software to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in C++ programming.
• Experience in embedded software development.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development for embedded systems, aerospace, defense, Linux, Simulink, and control systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Preference for candidates from smaller companies rather than large primes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Arlington, TX.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $95.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
