Job summary

Ptech Llc in Annapolis, Maryland is looking for a Software Engineer to develop and enhance complex software systems. The role involves working individually or as part of a team to ensure software meets design requirements, as well as debugging and integrating existing software.

Qualified candidates should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or have equivalent experience, alongside a TS/SCI clearance. Benefits include generous PTO, healthcare, and a 401k.

Job Description

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based on documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline OR four additional years’ software engineering experience
At least 14 years’ experience as a software engineer (at least 17 years’ experience if no Bachelor’s degree)
