Job summary

Procom, on behalf of our Financial Services client, seeks a Software Engineer for a 12-month contract in Ann Arbor, MI. The role is hybrid with four days onsite and one day remote, focusing on backend services that power charting, market data, and analytics for active traders.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain backend components, APIs, and integrations, collaborating with product owners and engineering teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Java and Spring Framework.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented analysis and design.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with distributed or client/server architectures.
• Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services powering charting and market data.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Design APIs and service integrations for internal and client-facing apps.

In this role, you will design, develop, and support backend services that power charting, market data, and analytics capabilities used by active traders every day.
