Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – DevSecOps & Secure Engineering to join our Irving, TX team. You will design, build, and secure enterprise-grade software using Go, Java, JavaScript, and Python, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native architectures and SDL practices.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines, integrate automated security testing, and collaborate across engineering, cloud, platform, and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of enterprise software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Go and Java.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using JavaScript and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and design patterns.
• Experience designing cloud-native applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SDL practices and threat modeling.

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions using Go, Java, JavaScript, and/or Python.
• Build scalable, secure, and resilient applications using cloud-native architecture and modern software-engineering practices.
• Design and develop distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and reusable application components.
• Participate in system design activities and contribute to application architecture, technical strategy, and engineering standards.
• Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, security, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Evaluate and integrate appropriate open‑source technologies into enterprise applications and engineering solutions.
• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, testing, security validation, and deployment activities.
• Integrate automated security testing into CI/CD processes, including source‑code scanning, dependency analysis, and related security controls.
• Develop automation to support continuous integration, automated testing, secure deployments, and engineering productivity.
• Promote and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices across application and cloud environments.
• Champion Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices and embed security considerations throughout software design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct and support threat‑modeling activities and security‑design reviews for applications and technical solutions.
• Analyze security findings and collaborate with engineering and security teams to define and implement remediation actions.
• Develop applications and services using containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design and support applications deployed on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Apply secure coding principles and software‑design patterns throughout the application development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with application engineering, platform, cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, and other cross‑functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, deployment, cloud, and security‑related issues and implement appropriate technical solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of overall experience in enterprise software engineering, application development, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of Strong hands‑on programming experience with Go (Golang) and Java.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience developing enterprise applications using JavaScript and/or Python.
• Minimum 5+ years ofStrong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, APIs, and software‑design patterns.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable cloud‑native applications.
• Minimum 5+ years of Extensive experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or equivalent technologies.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience integrating automated security testing, code scanning, dependency analysis, and related controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Minimum 5+ years of Strong knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices and secure coding principles.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience conducting or participating in threat modeling and security‑design reviews.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience identifying and remediating application‑security findings.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Minimum 5+ years of Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code practices and automated infrastructure provisioning.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience conducting code reviews and contributing to system design and technical architecture decisions.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience evaluating and integrating open‑source technologies into enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering, cloud, platform, DevOps, cybersecurity, and other technology teams.
• Travel
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $55 to $66/hour. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
