Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to support a highly technical, interdisciplinary program with DTRA and DIA. You will build and optimize software that powers physics-based models and simulations, enabling scientific assessments and more efficient operations.

You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate complex needs into robust software, design data pipelines in AWS GovCloud environments, and contribute to secure cross-domain data transfer and CI/CD practices

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Candidate must have a TS/SCI and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI w/ poly level clearance.
• BS degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or MS with 6–10 years of relevant experience; Doctorate acceptable.
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages (Python, C++, or Java).
• Experience designing and managing data pipelines using modern ETL tools.
• Hands-on experience developing software within AWS cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, C2S, SC2S).
• Direct experience handling cross-domain transfer mechanisms (e.g., CDS, guard implementations) to securely move data between unclassified and classified networks.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps pipelines, and Git.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Candidate must have a TS/SCI and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI w/ poly level clearance
• Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas. BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, or Java).
• Experience designing and managing data pipelines using modern ETL tools and processes.
• Hands-on experience developing software within AWS cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, C2S, SC2S).
• Direct experience handling cross-domain transfer mechanisms (e.g., CDS, guard implementations) to securely move software data between unclassified and classified networks.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps pipelines, and modern version control (Git).

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific experience with AWS data services (e.g., AWS Glue, EMR, S3, RDS).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and rapid prototyping to support mission-critical decisions
• Background in physics-based modeling, WMD analysis, or structural/facility engineering.

Pay Range

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
