Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a strong Java/React developer to design, code, test, and document projects with a primary UI focus and API/backend support. You will collaborate with technical experts to resolve complex issues and drive architecture decisions.

The role emphasizes frontend maturity, design system ownership, and robust security practices, with opportunities to explore AI-assisted tooling in modern enterprise ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Java experience.
• 5 years of React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend architecture.
• 5 years of Redux Toolkit, React Hook Form, and enterprise React ecosystems.
• 5 years of Design System and Component Library ownership experience (Fluent UI, Material UI, Storybook).
• 5 years of Micro Frontend Architecture using Module Federation and Monorepos.
• 5 years of API-driven development with SOAP, REST, and JSON.
• 5 years of Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts.
• 2 years of AI/Gen AI/agentic automation design and development.
• 2 years of web app security principles including authentication and encryption.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs (60-70% UI, remainder API/backend work)
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts and technology team members to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of Java experience
• 5 years of React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend architecture
• 5 years of Redux Toolkit, React Hook Form, and enterprise React ecosystems
• 5 years of Design System and Component Library ownership experience (Fluent UI, Material UI, Storybook)
• 5 years of Micro Frontend Architecture using Module Federation and Monorepos
• 5 years of API-driven development experience working with remote data via SOAP, REST, and JSON
• 5 years of experience with Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD), DevOps concepts
• 2 years of experience with AI, Gen AI, Agentic automation solutions design, and development (Claude, Co-Pilot, Devin AI)
• 2 years of employing web application security principles including authentication, authorization, secure session management, encryption, and protections against common vulnerabilities

Desired Qualifications

• 4 years of experience with Azure, OpenShift, or other PaaS and cloud technologies
• 4 years of experience with Jira software, Confluence software, Draw.io
• 4 years of electronic signature experience
• 5 years experience in working in Agile development environment using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
• 5 years experience in working web application development using Spring framework and Spring boot
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Working knowledge of AI concepts and experience integrating with AI tools, APIs
• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment

Pay Transparency Information: The starting pay range for this role will depend on the location of the successful candidate. For candidates in Irving, TX the starting pay range is $66.66/hr on W2. For candidates in Minneapolis or Chandler AZ, the starting pay range is $66.66/hr on W2. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
