Oracle America, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software for databases, applications, and networks.
You will drive architecture decisions, manage lifecycle processes, and guide security-focused engineering in a dynamic cloud environment. Responsibilities include shaping the product roadmap, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring robust, scalable solutions across Windows and Linux platforms.

Job Duties: Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. May work at various unanticipated locations throughout U.S. Occasional travel, up to 1-2x per year. May telecommute. (385.37550)
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Software Development Manager-related occupation. Position requires:
1. Designing software architecture and developing solutions using modern programming languages including Java;
2. Driving the software development lifecycle to successfully achieve product roadmap objectives;
3. Managing network and security solution teams;
4. Security and network including particularly with focus Building automated network and security solutions and Network, Security, and Identity Service architecture and Design Patterns;
5. Build automated network and security solutions;
6. Experience building cloud products, particularly in networking and security domains;
7. Experience with distributed systems including CAP theorem, consensus, messaging, and high availability;
8. Data structures, algorithms, and operating systems; and,
9. Experience working with Windows and Linux environments.
