Amazon OpenSearch Core Foundation team is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a senior engineering group focused on indexing systems that power OpenSearch Managed Service and Serverless offerings. The Amazon OpenSearch Core Foundation team owns the foundational indexing and search systems powering both OpenSearch Managed Service and Serverless offerings. We are building next-generation systems that support multiple data formats, diverse execution engines, and federated queries across heterogeneous data sources. As Software Development Manager, you will lead the team responsible for developing OpenSearch's next-generation indexing systems — delivering best-in-class price-performance for search and analytics workloads. You will drive the technical vision and execution for systems that serve both managed and Serverless customers at scale, shaping how millions of users index, store, and query their data.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
