Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the Storage Nodes team within S3. You will drive design and implementation of storage solutions, delivering high performance, durability, and scale for S3 customers.

You will partner with technical leaders and other S3 Storage teams to achieve game-changing throughput improvements and oversee end-to-end delivery in a large-scale cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

We are currently looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the Storage Nodes team. We build innovative software solutions to provide S3 customers secure, durable, high-available and performant storage with a low cost. In this role, you will drive the design and implementation of these storage solutions. You will define, plan and execute on deliverables that drive game changing performance and throughput improvements to S3's storage platform. You will partner with technical leaders and with other teams in S3 Storage to deliver these capabilities at S3 scale.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
