You will mentor engineers, drive end-to-end software delivery, and collaborate with more than a dozen partner teams to shape scalable, reliable systems that support agentic AI at scale.
The Amazon Quick team is looking for an exceptional Software Development Manager for a strategic new initiative. Amazon Quick is a generative AI–powered assistant that can answer questions, provide summaries, generate content, and securely complete tasks based on data and information in your enterprise systems. It empowers users to be more creative, data-driven, efficient, prepared, and productive. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate, work backwards from our customers, and be at the forefront of generative‑AI powered innovation.
We are looking for a Software Development Manager who is a creative problem‑solver, thrives in a start‑up like environment and is energized by tackling complex technical challenges to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI. Your team will design, build, and operate the authorization policies, enforcement plane, and audit systems that govern every interaction in Amazon Quick, whether initiated by a person or by an AI agent acting on their behalf. Your work will directly enable Amazon Quick to scale its agentic capabilities while meeting the access‑control requirements that enterprise customers depend on. You will collaborate across more than a dozen partner teams, influence architectural decisions in systems you depend on, and coach other engineers on your team. This is an opportunity to shape how the industry approaches access control for agentic AI, at a time when the problem is still being defined.
