Job summary

Vantor Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for an AI/ML and computer vision program supporting mission-critical applications. You will help identify, develop, and mature capabilities across R&D teams, delivering scalable, high-performance solutions for clients.

The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance, with CI Polygraph willingness. Strong programming, data handling, and DevSecOps experience are essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and a current TS/SCI clearance (with willingness to get a CI Polygraph).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering or a related field (4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. A master's degree may count as an additional 2 years of experience.).
• 4+ years demonstrated professional experience with programming, design, and/or development.
• Experience working with data in software applications, such as extracting or transforming data for a feature or product.
• Familiarity with modern software development tools, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Working proficiency in one multiparadigm programming language (preferably Python or C++)
• Working knowledge of Linux-based environments
• Strong problem-solving mindset and adaptability, with the ability to leverage emerging technologies to solve mission challenges

This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level.

As a Software Engineer on this program, you'll help identify, develop, and mature AI/ML and computer vision capabilities, including Automatic Target Recognition (ATR). You'll combine internally developed technologies with proven industry solutions to build scalable, high-performance capabilities. You'll also work across R&D teams to move successful technologies into broader use and deliver meaningful results for customers.

• Ability to troubleshoot routine issues, collaborate with teammates and users, and take feedback on technical work.
• Familiarity with designing, developing, testing, and deploying AI/ML or CV models across diverse data types

Pay Transparency

To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $116,000.00 - $154,000.00 - $169,400.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
