Job summary
Amazon's Transit Gateway team in Arlington, VA seeks a Software Development Engineer to design and build scalable networking software for AWS’s central networking hub. You will work on distributed systems, contribute to high-impact projects, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
You will collaborate across teams to deliver reliable services at cloud scale, with opportunities to influence architecture and drive technical excellence throughout the SDLC.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
- 2+ years in design or architecture of systems.
- 1+ years of SDE or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software.
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
- Experience programming with at least one language.
- 3+ years of full SDLC including coding standards and reviews.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
