Amazon's AWS team in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer for SageMaker Unified Studio to help build the next generation of interactive ML tooling. Our team is looking for talented back-end engineers to help us build the next generation of integrated development experiences targeted towards analysts, data engineers, and scientists. This job is for an exciting new product which aims to bring together the best of AWS to serve customers that live and breathe data, and who use data to build ML models to drive critical business processes.

Key job responsibilities
  • Work closely with UX designers and product managers to develop friendly UI experiences.
  • Work closely with other engineers to architect and develop the best technical design.
  • Develop/maintain operational rigor for the frontend of a new AWS service.
  • Own and deliver key features within a new interactive ML application.
  • Collaborate with other AWS SDEs for features that cut across AWS.
  • Engage with customers and other AWS partners.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
