Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to build policy infrastructure and enforcement systems for enterprise AI governance at scale. You will design, implement, and operate distributed services across authorization, compliance, and AI governance, ensuring correctness and explainability in every decision.
Join a team that collaborates with identity and guardrails to deliver end-to-end governance from policy authoring in the console to enforcement at the AI interaction point.
Generative AI is transforming how people work, but here's the unsolved problem: how do you give an AI assistant to 100,000 employees while keeping the right guardrails in place? How do you enforce data sovereignty, audit every AI action, and ensure compliance with regulations like the EU AI Act — all without slowing down the teams building the product.
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II to build the policy infrastructure and enforcement systems that make enterprise AI safe at scale. You will design, implement, and operate distributed services that sit at the intersection of authorization, compliance, and AI governance — systems where correctness is non-negotiable and every decision must be explainable.
