We enable easy, high-quality data collection, management of behavioral event data, and data-driven decision making across teams. This role focuses on cross-platform SDK development and data platform instrumentation to instrument applications and power telemetry for billions of events daily.

You are an experienced and passionate full stack Software Development Engineer who will tackle cross-platform SDK development (Kotlin Multiplatform and TypeScript) running on mobile (iOS, Android), web, and backend applications. You will design and build instrumentation libraries, contribute to tier-1 backend services, and empower teams to onboard their applications quickly while evolving the event model.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop cross-platform SDKs and instrumentation libraries that run on mobile, web, and backend platforms, enabling application teams to emit high-quality telemetry data.
  • Build and operate tier-1 backend services that ingest, enrich, route, and monitor billions of daily customer events in real time with high availability and low latency.
  • Contribute to self-service event model governance and design tools used to evolve schemas, attributes, and validation rules.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and drive continuous improvement of team software and processes, focusing on quality, maintainability, and operational excellence.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions, provide constructive feedback, and share mobile development best practices.
  • Engage in full software development lifecycle activities including scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
About the team

We own the design, collection, processing, and serving of Amazon Music behavioral data and support 100+ Amazon teams with tier-1 services and cross-platform SDKs. The team collaborates across backend infrastructure and data engineering with opportunities to learn cross-platform client development and telemetry data management.

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
