Job summary

A clinical contract research organization is seeking a full-time Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in Cincinnati. In this role, you will be responsible for automating test cases, maintaining test automation code, and ensuring high quality of software solutions. Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Join Medpace as a full‑time SDET in our IT team.

We are looking for a tester who will help build, maintain, and improve our custom software solutions. You will work closely with development and validation teams to automate test cases and ensure high quality.

Responsibilities

• Create new and maintain existing test automation code with a high degree of quality.
• Promote best practices in code health, testability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with development and validation teams to determine optimal areas for automation.
• Implement and run automation regression suites.
• Perform exploratory testing when needed.
• Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience in automation testing and/or software development.
• Experience with black‑box testing.
• Experience with automation platforms such as Selenium or Cypress.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience testing web applications and APIs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time‑management, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
