Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer II to joining the DEX Speed Tech team in Bellevue, WA. You will develop customer-facing features for sub-same day and ultra-fast delivery services, working across software, fulfillment, and operations to improve delivery experiences.

You will design scalable systems, participate in code reviews, and help mentor junior engineers while delivering high-quality, test-covered software that impacts millions of customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for scalable systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable software solutions for Speed delivery tracking and notifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build customer-facing features.
• Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Debug production issues and implement improvements.
• Contribute to team's technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.
