AWS Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) is building toward a future where every business innovates with Amazon AI teammates. We build AI solutions that improve human capabilities and transform entire business functions. Our products delight out of the box, make complex things easy and hard things possible, and require no cloud experience. We start with customers who embrace the future and build bridges to meet the rest where they are. We pursue ambitious opportunities with conviction, and we want builders who share that mindset.

Kumo is the R&D organization within AWS Support. AWS Incident Detection and Response (IDR) is owned by the Kumo Detection and Protection organization.

IDR show up for customers in the moments that matter most: when a critical workload degrades and the business is on the line. We detect the problem, correlate the signal, and engage the right experts in minutes, often before the customer notices.

Our team within Kumo owns driving enhanced customer experiences supporting customers across their journey: customer onboarding, observability signal ingestion, and incident response correlation services.

Key job responsibilities

We are an AI-native team. We build with AI agents every day, and we apply AI to make incident detection sharper and response faster. We iterate quickly: take bets, deliver in rapid cycles, and adapt and adjust to feedback. You will raise the standards for how software is built and operated with using AI-native practices.

You will work across the breadth of AWS services, because our customers do. You will work with software development teams, product management, incident management engineers, and customers who depend on us.
