Job summary

Flexe, a tech-enabled warehousing platform, seeks a Software Engineer to build systems that power our customers. You’ll contribute to architecture, implement services, and collaborate with a product-focused team in Seattle.

This hybrid role requires 3 in-office days (Tue-Thu) with remote Mon and Fri; the tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, Scala, Kotlin, and exposure to Java, Golang or Python. You’ll help deliver large-scale projects while growing with the company.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with building systems using service-oriented or microservice patterns.
• Ruby on Rails, Scala, and Kotlin; willing to train in Java, Golang, C#, Python, etc.
• Experience designing reliable cloud-based systems at scale.

As a Software Engineer, you will join a product development team and partner with other software engineers who are passionate about solving real-world problems. This is a hybrid position based in Seattle, WA. Team members are expected to work in-office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), with remote work on Monday and Friday.

Does this sound like you?

• 3+ years of commercial Software Development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with building systems using Service Oriented Architecture or Microservice design patterns.
• Our tech stack is Ruby on Rails, Scala, and Kotlin. However, we will train the right person who has experience in one or more of the following modern languages: Java, Golang, C#, Python, etc.
• Experience with designing reliable cloud-based systems at scale.
• A history of team-oriented development and a drive to continuously learn.

The salary range for this role is $147,250 to $206,800 depending, in part, on candidate location. Recruiting will confirm the specific range for the candidate location in the initial phone screen. All employees receive company equity as part of their compensation package.
