Do you want to work on new scaling challenges for one of the largest databases on earth? Do you enjoy simplifying complex problems and working on distributed systems? In this role you will work on a service that stores petabytes of data and maintains a very high bar for durability, availability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and optimize highly distributed, large‑scale services.
• Translate requirements into detailed solution architectures and technical plans.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on day‑to‑day development activities, design discussions, code reviews, and ongoing operations of the service.
• Deliver quality engineering work on time and on budget, executing against project plans and delivery commitments.
• Scale distributed systems with optimal balance between performance and cost.
• Automate and improve repetitive operational processes.
• Support junior team members as they progress.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
