Amazon is seeking an experienced engineer for CloudWatch Application Observability to design, build, and operate services that delight customers with highly available, scalable observability for applications and AI agents.
You will collaborate with engineers, product managers and UX designers, influence the roadmap, mentor juniors, and drive reliability and performance in AWS-scale environments.
The mission of the CloudWatch Application Observability is to delight our customers and help them operate their applications by providing them a highly available, scalable and secure service that instruments, observes and monitors their applications and AI agents. At a high level, the team builds products that are curated solutions allowing customers to operate their applications. We have an exciting charter for 2026 and beyond to delight our customers and build observability solutions for their traditional and agentic workloads.
We are looking for engineers who are enthusiastic about giving customers the best experience and are passionate about solving customers’ business needs, at AWS scale.
As an experienced engineer on the team, you will work closely with the engineering staff, product managers, and UX designers across the team, as well as interact directly with customers. You will play a key role in defining the technology strategies of our product, be a technical leader and force-multiplier in the team. You will have the unique opportunity to build, influence, and shape new AWS services.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
