Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join a team building one of the world's largest configuration audit platforms.
You will help design, implement, and operate high-scale distributed services and AI-driven automation across resource onboarding. You will mentor engineers, own the full lifecycle from research to deployment, and help maintain a balanced, flexible work culture.
Amazon Web Services has enabled large enterprises and growing startups to move quickly by increasing developer productivity. Security, auditability and governance in the cloud has moved from being a top concern to top reason for adopting Cloud services. AWS Service Quotas has been leading this transition by providing insights into user activity.
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join a highly respected team building one of the largest configuration audit platforms in the world. We are building agentic AI solutions that automate the end-to-end lifecycle of resource type onboarding – from research and schema authoring through testing, validation, and deployment. You’ll work at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems and AI-driven automation, designing agents that can reason about AWS service APIs, author configuration schemas, and validate correctness with minimal human intervention.
Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren’t focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.
AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.
