Amazon is seeking a software development engineer to join the Replenishment Planning team in Seattle, WA. You will design and implement scalable distributed systems with high availability and low latency, collaborating across teams to translate complex problems into robust software solutions.
You should have 3+ years of professional software development experience, strong system design background, and proficiency in C#, C++, Java, or Perl. A Bachelor's degree is required for consideration.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Do you enjoy building systems from the ground up? Are you passionate about setting standards for an AWS product in its early stages of development, as well as influence its architecture and product ideation? Do you like working with latest native AWS technologies and developing systems that can grow to the AWS scale? As part of AWS Supply Chain Management Team, you'll be a key part of developing next-generation supply chain solutions, and you'll have the chance to design and create enterprise-class products from scratch.
You’ll architect, design, and implement federated and highly scalable distributed systems with high availability, low latency, and high throughput. You’ll get the chance to use AWS' latest technologies to build and deploy enterprise-class products.
We are looking for creative and motivated software developers that want to work on challenging and high-impact problems. To be successful in this role, you must have a thorough understanding of algorithms and data structures, as well as the ability to produce bulletproof code. You must be passionate about delivering high-quality designs, inventive in problem-solving, and unafraid to think outside the box.
The Replenishment Planning (RP) team owns the end-to-end experience and systems for optimal replenishment of material resources to meet the compute and storage demand of AWS Services. Replenishment for AWS Infrastructure includes optimizing inventory levels — accounting for demand distributions and supply volatility — placing inventory across the supply chain for millions of materials across thousands of nodes, and procuring materials in line with business preferences and vendor targets, all optimized for cost and availability. Delays in replenishing supply resources lead to shortages that adversely affect the fulfillment of AWS Service demand and the availability of AWS Services.
