Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the Amazon Quick team in Seattle, WA. You will translate requirements into scalable software, own end-to-end code quality, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver impactful data management and analytics features.

Ideal candidates have extensive professional software development experience and a track record in leading design or architecture of complex systems, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key job responsibilities

• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture/design/working software solutions.
• Code and test system components; participate in code and design reviews.
• Demonstrate ownership of end-to-end code quality, system tests, functional tests, and integration.
• Partner/Collaborate across teams/roles to deliver results.
• Be responsible for overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
