Job summary

Parsons is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join the Joint Staff CDAO team. You will design, build, and sustain applications in Maven Foundry Foundry MSS to support J7's lessons-learned mission.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.

• Hands-on Palantir Foundry / MSS Foundry experience.
• Experience building web UIs and REST APIs.

Job Description

Parsons is looking for a highly skilled Software Developer to join our Joint Staff Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) team in direct support of Joint Staff J7. In this role, you will design, develop, and sustain operational applications within Maven Smart System (MSS) Foundry to support J7's lessons-learned mission. You will develop user-facing applications, integrate Foundry capabilities with enterprise data warehouse services, and build APIs that enable users and systems to securely access, search, and leverage lessons-learned data.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build, enhance, and maintain J7 operational applications within MSS Foundry in support of Joint Staff mission requirements
• Design and develop intuitive user interfaces for submitting, browsing, searching, and interacting with lessons-learned information
• Develop custom Foundry applications that leverage processed and curated data from the J7 lessons-learned data warehouse
• Design and implement seamless integration between MSS Foundry applications and underlying data warehouse capabilities
• Develop and maintain APIs and services to enable secure interaction between Foundry applications, data warehouse services, and external systems
• Translate J7 mission requirements and user needs into scalable, maintainable software solutions
• Collaborate directly with J7 stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and other technical teams to develop and integrate mission capabilities
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and sustain applications throughout the software development lifecycle
• Develop solutions within secure DoD environments while adhering to applicable security, data governance, and development standards

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, application development, or a related technical field
• Hands-on experience developing applications using Palantir Foundry / MSS Foundry
• Experience developing web-based user interfaces and applications
• Experience integrating applications with data warehouses, databases, or enterprise data platforms
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs or similar web services
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar programming languages
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, application integration, and troubleshooting
• Ability to work directly with mission stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions
• 8 years of related experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Experience supporting Joint Staff J7 or other DoD operational organizations
• Experience developing applications within Maven Smart System (MSS)
• Experience with Palantir Foundry Ontology, Workshop, Slate, or similar Foundry capabilities
• Experience with Databricks or other modern data warehouse/data engineering platforms
• Experience integrating Foundry applications with external systems and enterprise APIs
• Experience developing applications supporting lessons learned, knowledge management, operational planning, or decision support
• Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Familiarity with DoD data security, governance, and compliance requirements
