Job summary

VTG in Herndon, VA seeks a Software Developer/Systems Engineer to design and maintain enterprise data feeds powering security intelligence platforms. You will build robust ETL pipelines, integrate data from 10+ vendor APIs, and apply AI to extract, classify, and auto-heal data.

You will ensure reliability, monitor performance, and adapt quickly to API updates and data format changes. This role requires active TS/SCI with poly and 5+ years building production data pipelines with Python.

Qualifications

Overview We're seeking a Software Developer/Systems Engineer to build and maintain enterprise data feeds that power our network and security intelligence platforms. You'll integrate data from multiple vendor APIs, create robust ETL pipelines, and leverage AI to handle complex data extraction and normalization challenges. What will you do?

• Design and maintain enterprise data feeds from 10+network and security vendor APIs;
• Build intelligent parsers that handle diverse data formats;
• Orchestrate automated pipelines for regular data download, transformation and loading;
• Ensure reliability and performance through monitoring, error handling, and optimization;
• Adapt to change by quickly resolving API updates, data format changes, and vendor issues;
• Integrate AI capabilities for data extraction, classification, anomaly detection, and auto-healing.
• Perform technical evaluations of new tools for potential use and positive impact on project processes Do you have what it takes? * Active TS/SCI With Poly Required. * 5+ years building production data pipelines with Python
• Proven experience consuming REST or similar APIs at scale
• Familiarity with tools such as Nmap, Rapid7, or similar tools
• Experience integrating AI with an application for efficient code responses Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $180,000-$230,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
