Job summary

Idi Insulation is seeking a Software Developer and Product Support to develop, enhance, and support web and mobile applications, delivering intuitive user experiences for internal and external customers.

The role blends front-end development, product support, and customer engagement by designing interfaces, dashboards, and data visualizations; integrating solutions with APIs and back-end services; and using AI-assisted coding platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development.
• Exposure to mobile development concepts (iOS/Android or cross-platform) is a plus.

Job description

The Software Developer and Product Support is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting web and mobile applications that deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences for internal and external customers. This role combines front-end software development, product support, and customer engagement by designing and maintaining application interfaces, dashboards, and data visualizations; integrating solutions with APIs and back-end services; and leveraging modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding platforms. Working closely with product stakeholders, designers, consultants, and customers, this position participates in Agile development processes, oversees testing and feature delivery, provides technical support and end-user training, develops documentation, monitors product performance and user adoption, and helps drive continuous improvements that align technology solutions with business objectives.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Front-End Application Development
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain front-end components for internal and client-facing web and mobile applications using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Dash, Streamlit, or PyQT.
  • Build dashboards, visualizations, and interactive interfaces for data-driven and AI-enabled applications.
  • Support integration of front-end applications with back-end services and REST APIs.
  • Utilize AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate development, debugging, and test writing.
• Product Development & Agile Delivery
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, stand-ups, and estimation while providing and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Oversee testing and delivery of new features, assist in defect resolution, and ensure security and access controls are maintained.
  • Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, trends, and AI/ML concepts, contributing to ongoing UI/UX improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & User Experience
  • Collaborate closely with consultants, product stakeholders, and designers to deliver seamless, intuitive user experiences.
  • Engage proactively with users and customers to drive product adoption, gather feedback, and advocate for feature enhancements.
• Customer Support & Subject Matter Expertise
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for software solutions, assisting with user training, technical support, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for internal and external audiences.
• Product Monitoring & Business Partnership
  • Monitor product delivery, usage, and service satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Sales, IT, and Management to support business goals and improve overall product effectiveness.

Skills/Abilities

• Programming & Development Skills
  • Working knowledge of Python and JavaScript.
  • Foundational skills in HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.
  • Experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as ReactJS, Angular, Vue, Dash, Streamlit, or PyQT.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, version control systems (Git), and collaborative software development practices.
• Cloud & Technology Tools
  • Comfortable developing and deploying solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
  • Comfortable utilizing AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to support development, debugging, and productivity.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development (internships, academic, or project-based experience considered).
• Exposure to mobile development concepts, including native iOS/Android or cross-platform frameworks, is a plus.
