Job summary

Siemens EDA is seeking a software developer to join the Calibre OPC/RET Modeling R&D team. You will design, implement, and support models and simulators for optical proximity correction and resolution enhancement technology in a Linux environment.

You will contribute to production-ready C++ code, analyze performance, and document specifications while collaborating with peers and management. The role may be located in Wilsonville, OR or Fremont, CA, with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience with lithography modeling or semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Strong C++ programming and OO design skills.
• Experience using Matlab or Python for data analysis.
• Familiarity with Linux and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an addition to our team of software developers who design, implement, and support the models and simulator for the Calibre Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) and Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) tools. This position reports to the Calibre OPC and RET Modeling R&D Director.

Responsibilities Include:

• Simulate and theoretically analyze electromagnetic and optical physics applicable to lithography modeling
• Understand enhancement requests and bugs and discuss solutions with the team
• Implement production ready software in C++
• Document new software in functional specifications
• Perform detailed, quantitative analysis of performance and quality of the software

Candidates must be able to:

• Understand electromagnetic and optical physics and how it applies to practical lithography modeling
• Implement object oriented software in C++
• Analyze data in Matlab or Python
• Work comfortably in Linux and with Microsoft Office programs Word, Power Point, and Outlook
• Compile information into clear documents or slides and present to peers and management

Nice to have:

• Experience in the semiconductor industry, specifically with lithography and optical proximity correction software
• BSEE, MSEE/ MS or Ph.D. Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field is required
