Job summary

Capital Technology Group is seeking a Software Developer to design and lead scalable, secure solutions for federal modernization initiatives. You will own end-to-end architecture across applications, integrations, cloud environments, APIs, and enterprise systems while partnering with engineering, product, infrastructure, and delivery teams.

The role emphasizes backend, API development, and distributed systems, with collaboration across teams and a commitment to secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and OpenJDK.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of software development principles, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with version control, testing, debugging, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, secure coding, and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $75k–$110k annually. Please note that this range is intended to provide a general idea of what to expect. The final offer may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors.
