Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and support C++/C# applications in Visual Studio for on-site work in Jacksonville, FL.

You will build new applications from requirements, create REST APIs, manage SQL Server objects, and collaborate with business partners to deliver secure, maintainable solutions.

Software Developer (.NET/C++)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida (On-site)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months

We are seeking a motivated Software Developer with three or more years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting applications using C++/C# and Microsoft Visual Studio. The ideal candidate will have experience building applications from the ground up, gathering requirements, designing solutions, developing code, testing, deploying, and providing ongoing support. This role requires on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain C++/C# applications using Visual Studio.
• Build new applications and services from initial requirements through production deployment.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and web services.
• Create and maintain SQL Server database objects, including tables, stored procedures, and queries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and production support issues.
• Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Follow secure coding practices and participate in code reviews.
• Produce technical documentation and implementation plans.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of professional software development experience, including designing and developing applications from the ground up.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C++/C# and .NET development, experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server database development, and source control systems such as Git. Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns is required.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, or Web API applications.
• Experience with IIS, Windows Server, and application deployments.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems and APIs.
