Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is hiring a Software Developer I for our Corporate IT team. The hybrid role supports offices in Canton, MA; Boston, MA; Farmington, CT; or Raleigh, NC, collaborating with stake holders and agile teams to design and deliver quality software solutions.

The position involves converting user stories into working software, participating in the SDLC, and learning company standards in an Agile environment while contributing to on-time delivery and well-documented

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required or equivalent.
• On-the-job training is recognized.
• 1-3 years of related experience; experience in Property/Casualty or Specialty Insurance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements by collaborating with product owners and agile team members.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including coding, testing and implementation.
• Learn and follow company standards in an Agile environment.
• Translate user stories into programmable solutions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
