Quantum Research International, Inc. (Quantum) seeks a Full Stack Software Developer intermediate level to develop, maintain, and write/code new or modified applications at NGA Campus East in Springfield, VA. This role is full-time and located in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities include automating the RMF process, building tools and dashboards (Tableau), and leading intermediate developers. You will write robust Python code, integrate databases, and coordinate with stakeholders across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field; CSSLP/GSEC acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • Deep knowledge of software development with practical experience.
  • Ability to design and develop continuous monitoring tools and dashboards with Tableau.
  • Ability to build interactive user interfaces using React.
  • RMF knowledge at hire and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and plan development work.

MISSION:

Quantum Research Intlis seeking a Full Stack Software Developer intermediate level to develop, create, maintain, and write/code new (or modifies existing) computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs. This position is available immediately at National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) Campus East (NCE) in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Automate the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to the fullest extent.
  • Develop custom tools and dashboards, including executive data visualizations in Tableau, to support and enhance system continuous monitoring efforts.
  • Lead intermediate-level developers to success.
  • Act as a customer-facing representative engaging with key stakeholders.
  • Write, develop, and deploy robust code across the full stack, utilizing languages such as Python.
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain databases to support backend application requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, both technical and non-technical.
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the development of a new application or modification of an existing application.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Apply coding and testing standards, apply security testing tools including "'fuzzing" static-analysis code scanning tools, and conduct code reviews.
  • Apply secure code documentation.
  • Capture security controls used during the requirements phase to integrate security within the process, to identify key security objectives, and to maximize software security while minimizing disruption to plans and schedules.
  • Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.
  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design application and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
  • Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software.
  • Correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure that desired results are produced.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Develop secure code and error handling.
  • Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, and need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration.
  • Identify basic common coding flaws at a high level.

Requirements:

  • S/SCI eligible, subject to CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technical field. In lieu of degree, CSSLP or GSEC and experience may be accepted.
  • Ability to demonstrate a deep knowledge of software development and showcase a high level of understanding.
  • Ability to design and develop continuous monitoring tools and dashboards, analyzing and visualizing complex data using Tableau (or similar tools) and other technologies.
  • Ability to build interactive user interfaces using React and design robust database structures.
  • Must possess RMF knowledge upon hire.
  • Ability to tailor code analysis for application‑specific concerns.
  • Ability to use and understand complex mathematical concepts (e.g., discrete math).
  • Ability to develop secure software according to secure software deployment methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non‑repudiation).
  • Ability to identify critical infrastructure systems with information communication technology that were designed without system security consideration
