Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking a Software Developer to design, code, test, document, and maintain software applications on-site. You will analyze requirements, translate them into technical tasks, and deliver robust software solutions.

Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams, performing tests, conducting code reviews, and ensuring software aligns with current technologies. A bachelor's in CS or equivalent and experience with Agile/DevOps are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of database analysis, design and normalization.
• Knowledge with data integration and data orchestration tools and related best-practices.
• Knowledge with service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with operating systems (Windows).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Analyzes user specifications and requirements.
• Analyzes, reviews, and alters programs to increase efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Gathers information from end-users through interviews and process review.
• Translates project specs into detailed coding instructions.
• Plans, codes, tests, and documents software programs.
• Consults with users to identify procedures and objectives.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the SDLC.
• Designs and creates the user interface within application standards.
• Develops tools and applications with clean, efficient code.
• Automates tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Participates in code reviews, debugging and QA.
• Conducts thorough testing of software applications.
• Troubleshoots and resolves software issues.
• Collaborates with internal teams and vendors to improve software.
• Ensures software stays up to date with latest technologies.
• Develops skills through reviewing technical materials and forums.
