Oracle America, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot, and test software. You will apply software-architecture knowledge to build and improve applications or operating systems, with a focus on cloud-native and container-based deployments.

You may telecommute. A Bachelor's degree plus eight years of progressive experience in software development is required. The role covers Python, Perl, Java, Linux/Unix, Docker, CI/CD, and SDLC for cloud services.

Job Description

Entity: Oracle America, Inc.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.33299)

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by eight years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a software developer-related occupation. Position requires:

1. Cloud platforms, Cloud Native and Container (Docker) based applications;

2. Automating the Build, Test and Deploy process in managing applications on Linux OS, Unix command line, and shell scripting;

3. Security aspects of software products and services;

4. Programming languages including Python, Perl, and Java;

5. CICD Design and Development;

6. SDLC process for software cloud service; and

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $226,668 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and/or equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
